Chris Moseley, principal/ FPE

Christopher (Chris) Moseley is the visionary founder and Fire Protection Engineer behind Moseley & Associates Engineering, Inc. (MAE). With more than two decades of experience in electrical engineering, fire protection engineering, and low-voltage systems design, Chris's journey is one of expertise and innovation.


Before the inception of MAE in 2022, Chris wore many hats, serving as a lead electrical engineer, fire protection engineer, estimator, technical salesman, installer, and designer for both national and local systems integrators. His work spanned across an array of sectors, including residential, entertainment, education, hospitality, healthcare, science & technology, military, and gaming industries.


Chris's initiation into the world of life safety began as a sales engineer for a small local integrator. During his early days in the industry, he embraced hands-on learning in the field, absorbing knowledge from seasoned technicians and contributing to system installations. This practical experience honed Chris's understanding of system intricacies, enabling him to effectively convey requirements and constraints to his clients. With every design endeavor, Chris is not only concious of the Codes and Standards, but also leverages his extensive construction knowledge to offer solutions that are not just compliant but also constructible.


Chris's domain of expertise encompasses fire alarm system design, low-voltage system design, in-building radio system design, Building and Fire Code consultation, and the development of performance and risk-based strategies for Code compliance. Fueled by a passion for value engineering, Chris combines these proficiencies to deliver innovative, logical life safety solutions that consistently exceed client expectations.


Chris is an alumnus of the University of Missouri, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

His relentless pursuit of professional growth has endowed him with profound insights into the life safety industry, NFPA standards, building codes, and construction practices. Prior to joining MAE, Cosmo made significant waves in the world of project management. As a Senior Fire Alarm Project Manager for a national design build contractor, Cosmo expertly managed the design-build process for over 30 major projects, showcasing his unparalleled project management acumen. His responsibilities spanned the entire project lifecycle, from the initial planning and permitting stages to the final commissioning and beyond.

Cosmo's educational foundation laid the groundwork for his exceptional career. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio.
